Jeanfield welcomed Luncarty to the Riverside, with light rain threatening to make the pitch unplayable. However, thanks to some excellent work from the backroom staff, the game was able to go ahead.

Luncarty started strong, dominating the first 20 minutes and earning two penalties—one in the 5th minute and another in the 20th. Both were brilliantly saved by goalkeeper J. Welch, keeping Jeanfield in the game. Despite Luncarty’s pressure, Jeanfield struck on the counter in the 30th minute. A well-timed through ball found K. Mitchell, who unselfishly squared it to A. Abboud for an easy tap-in.

Luncarty were stunned but continued to push forward, only to be caught out again just before halftime. This time, S. Philips played a precise through ball to A. Abboud, who returned the favor by setting up K. Brown for another open-goal finish. Jeanfield went into the break 2-0 up, though the game could have been very different had the penalties been converted.

Luncarty came out firing in the second half but began to tire early on. In the 55th minute, a mix-up between Jeanfield’s defense and goalkeeper allowed a Luncarty striker to poke the ball home, pulling one back for the visitors.

The remainder of the match saw Luncarty pushing hard for an equaliser while Jeanfield held firm and created chances of their own, though they couldn't extend their lead.

As the final whistle blew, it was another valuable three points for Jeanfield—not the prettiest win, but a hard-fought victory nonetheless.
