Jeanfield advanced to the next round of the North of Tay Cup with a commanding 4-0 win over St. Johns in a local derby, played under clear skies and on a pristine pitch.

Jeanfield dominated possession in the opening 45 minutes, creating numerous chances but failing to convert until the 38th minute. After sustained pressure, K. Mitchell threaded a precise pass to A. Abboud, who calmly dummied the keeper, leaving him on the ground, before tapping into an open net to break the deadlock.

Jeanfield came out of the break determined to turn their control into a more convincing lead, and they did just that.

On 49th minute R. Green launched a ball over the top to A. Abboud, who unselfishly squared it to K. Mitchell for a simple tap-in, making it 2-0.

On the 59th minute J. Howie played the ball wide to A. Abboud, who skipped past his defender and was brought down in the box, earning a penalty. Abboud stepped up to take it himself, confidently dispatching it past the stand-in keeper.

On the 68th minute Jeanfield’s relentless attack continued as J. Howie broke into the box and saw his shot crash off the post, only for B. Calderwood to pounce and poke the ball over the line, sealing a 4-0 scoreline.
